I have been running v.9813 all last television season using a MediaMVP flawlessly. I moved this summer and just hadn't gotten around to running the cat5 in the attic and getting everything setup. Last weekend I finally did and when I turned on my MVP I received the signal just fine- video playback etc worked perfect. Since Zap2It is gone, I decided to upgrade to the latest version v1.1.5 and got a subscription to Schedules Direct. I can run PVRX2 just fine on my PC but the MVP can no longer find a streaming server to connect to. MVP Controller is running in the background. I have tried to read every forum and Wiki I could find on the subject but no luck. Any thoughts or suggestion or a thread for answers?
My system:
P4 2.8Ghz
2gb RAM
250GB HDD
Hauppage PVR500
WinXP PRo

This sounds like the common firewall issue. The name of the application that you need to allow incoming access to is now PVRX2.exe.

My suspicion would be a firewall issue with the name change of the server process that the MVP connects to. Have a look at post nr 5 here http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...ival+guide
You may have missed it by skipping a few versions.

That ws it guys... my firewall settings for PVRX2. Feel a little sheepish. I did read that thread but not far enough down. THANK YOU for the assist. And thank you too Sub for suggesting the forum post.
