Are there issues with GB-PVR co-existing with MediaPortal Server? (aka TVEngine)

I installed it to stream the TV across my LAN (it does a better job at that than GB-PVR IMO), now live TV doesn't want to work any more giving me a divide by zero error.

I've tried setting the MediaPortal service to manual start and restarting Windows, but I still get the same error.

In the meantime, i've resorted to removing MediaPortal until I need it next.

Anyone got any more tips?

I think it is possible, mruane does it. Not sure which bits you need to run off however.

Are there some other services from mediaportal used for recording? And was that what gbpvr was complaining about (conflicts getting hold of the tuners?).

with MediaPortal Server, I can install the server on the machine with the card, install the client and plugin on the other machines and hey presto, I can watch V8 Supercars in any room in the house Smile I gave up trying to work out how to do the same thing in GB-PVR

As for my error, this is the bit from the logs that seems to be causing the issue

I have tried changing the deinterlace method to none, reinstalling the drivers (stuff was looking weird on WinTV before too), most MediaPortal server and client software is now uninstalled except for the databases.

I have also reinstalled GB-PVR and re-registered the filters.

Oh yeah, if it matters, i'm still running 1.0.8. This shouldn't make a difference though, as it was working fine before.

ok is that all
i thought there must have been something better it was just a setup problem
have you tried again with the latest version or just cant be Bothered anymore?

im guessing the problem was you were using dvr-ms as your mux and you cant stream when its recorded in that format

it it was me i would just remove everything delete the devnz folder
only save the config file and database file

start over its often faster and easier
and install the latest version while you are at it

well, that seemed to work, thanks.

the reason I only had DVR-MS installed is that for some reason I still can't work out, the Cyberlink Mux seemed to not allow me to record stuff off Stratos properly was really choppy.

to tell you the truth my digital side of things still isnt that reliable seems to drop out alot
dvr-ms gives good results but since you cant stream it i cant use it
i use the 1307 mux its not to bad but i think my dish doesnt quite give a good enough signal and it drops out sometimes
no one else seems to complain about it so im guessing it just my bad setup

what tuner card have you got
