Hi, been using GBPVR for a year or so now, and now built a new media pc with a cunningly smalll Hiper media case. However, this meant using a USB TV card, so I bought the WinTV Nova-TD USB stick with two freeview capture sources. The problem is that although I believe I have followed all the instructions for setting up the capture sources, and can watch and record TV, I can not record two programs at the same time or watch one and record another - wife displeased.

I have set up both with the same EPG source, both are set to device 1, and they are set to the Tuner 1 and Tuner 2 in the device list (selecting from devices found on the pc). Can anyone help? Forgive the lack of detailed info as I'm sat at work, with the boss staring at me...

I should add I'm using the latest version of GBPVR, and the problem occurs with both the GBPVR and PVRX2 programs - love the new PVRX2 btw

The two capture sources should be configured as device #1 and device #2.

Tried it and it still doesn't work I'm afraid. What now happens is that PVRX2 shows that the recordings are in progress (as before) but the Show Status from the taskbar only shows tuner 1 operating. the other is sleeping (before both were shown to be recording but only one worked). Now that one tuner is selected as device two, you can only chose from the BDA recording plugin the same tuners -
Hauppauge Nova-TD
Hauppauge Nova-TD Tuner 1
Hauppauge WinTV MOD7700 DVB-T #1

For both capture sources
I've tried using all of them for the 2nd capture source, but none work. Any suggestions?

Ah, I forgot this was one of these devices that uses different driver names for each tuner. Setup one capture source as "Hauppauge Nova-TD Tuner 1" as device #1. Set the other capture source as "Hauppauge Nova-TD Tuner 2" as device #1.

If that is still not working for you, do two recording then zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look.

Hi there, sorry your suggestion did not work, I've taken the logs from the period of the last recording and attached them. I appreciate your help.

Basically the recording status shows both tuners are recording however it is not the case, the first recording setup is the one that works.

Thanks

Matt

Its not finding the drivers for the second device on your machine.

Can you run filtercheck.exe from the GB-PVR directory, then zip and attach the filtercheck.log it creates?

Is the NOVA-TD the diversity model?
If so it might be in diversity mode (where it uses both tuners to get the best possible picture) instead of using the tuners independently. I must admit I don't have one (although I'm thinking of getting one) but I think their should be a small app. on the Happauge CD which lets you switch the stick between diversity and dual tuner mode.
