I have an issue. I installed an HVR-1600 that I got today. I set it up by splitting the cable in my room, running one to the ATSC part, one to the analog part, and one to the PVR-500. Added it to the capture sources using the same EPG as the PVR-500. At this point I've only attempted to add the analog source.

I tune any channel with the 1600 and only get sound, no picture at all. I make the 500 be the tuner for live tv and it works fine.

The only weird thing I noticed is that when I check the box to "show only devices in this pc" I have two 500's (normal) and a 1600 and 1500-MCE.

Anyway, here are the logs, I deleted all the logs, loaded config, closed config, opened the tv guide went to channel 4 (KVOA), watched tv, then exited. I did this with both the 1600 and 500 for comparison's sake.

After I get analog working I'll move to attempting to make QAM work.

Try setting the deinterlacing mode back to the default 'Encoder Passthrough'.

Well, that worked but now I have stuttering (and I'm impressed, without even looking at the logs). I was using the ffdshow raw video filter and didn't have stuttering.

The HVR-1600 has to be using the 'encoder passthrough' mode, so you'll have to find a solution to that stuttering while leaving it set that way.

Post the logs now that you have that set correctly and I'll take another look.

There is no unexpected filters in there that are known to cause problems, but I'd try other decoders to see if you can resolve it.

Could also look into the quartz.dll thing if you havnt already.

Yea, I did the quartz thing. I just switched to some other decoder (from reading the mux thread) and it appears to work much much better than my cyberlink decoder. Thanks (as usual) for the quick help, now to see if I get QAM working.
