Windows XP SP2 keeps giving me an error message when rebooted stating that there is a file called "Program" in C:\ that could cause potential problems and should be renamed to "Program1". The file does exist and when opened with a text editor shows the path to my GB-PVR video file directory and the path to temp.txt. I believe this to be an issue caused by PVRX2. Is this a known issue and is there a solution for it?

Thank you for your assistance.

Respectfully,

Sub,

Thank you for the quick response. Even after deleting the file it is at some point regenerated. Is there a way to discover if this is tided to GB-PVR and PVRX2?

Thanks.

It doesnt ring any bells to me. This sort of problem (ending up with a "c:\program") is pretty common for people using batch files and forgetting to quotes around the path, so when you encounter 'c:\program files' it assumes the 'c:\program' part is a name and 'files\...' is another separate parameter. Depending on what that batch file was doing, it could create a file.

I doubt it is created by GB-PVR, otherwise we would have seen other occurrances in the past. It might be created by a batch file that has been created by a plugin, or maybe a batch file someone has advised you to create.

I believe you hit the nail on the head. The temp.txt file is traced back to Stattik's stattik_transcode_0.5.1d.bat file and the information in the files call "Program" are associated with files that have recently been used with this batch file.

I just found this issue mentioned in Stattik's thread for the auto transcode script. He states that this issue appears to be fixed in version 0.5.1f of the batch file. However, the version I have listed is the latest version of his batch script listed for download on the GB-PVR wiki.

I'll post to Stattik's thread recommending the wiki download be updated.

Thanks for your help.

Respectfully,

Gary
