Hi, it's me again :x

I decided to get adventurous and try and set up a networked (100mbps wired) client. The client connects to the db and gets the EPG listings etc, and lists of what's been recorded, but when I try to play these back, I get the following error in pvrx2.exe.log:

Code:
2007-12-02 11:49:52.546    INFO    [1]    playFile(Friends, ~C:\Temp\Friends\Friends_20071026_20302100.dvr-ms)

And when I try to watch LiveTV, I get:

If I try and play the dvr-ms files manually over the network, they play ok (in Nero Showtime), but I'm pretty sure it's something to do with codecs/muxs/whatever that I simply don't understand :x

TIA

Mark

Streaming or filesharing on client? I thought dvr-ms was a no-no for streaming.
Ah, just found it. http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=31662

Ah right, ok, thanks.

It didn't work when I used filesharing either, but I'll give the ATI/Cyberlink stuff a go - is that the box under "Misc" in the Config app?

Yup, its that one over in misc. It used to show all supported muxs in the past and caused some confusion, I think the current version only displys those installed on your machine. There's a big thread with some pointers to them at http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=7229 and don't forget they need "registering" with windows with regsvr32 or somesuch.
