My MVP works fine with the windows firewall off. When I enable it, the MVP can't find a server. PVRX2 and recording service are both set as exceptions, so they shouldn't be blocked.

Is there anything else I need to do to the firewall?
Any other ideas what might be causing this?

I'm using 1.1.5 (xp) and the MVPMC dongle.

This is clearly a firewall rule issue. You need to open PVRX2.exe to both incoming TCP and UDP connections.

I'm only using the windows firewall at this point - pvrx2.exe appears to be as allowed as it can be. I see no option to specify anything to do with tpc/udp or incoming/outgoing connections.

You need to click on the 'Add Port' tab to the set PVRX2 port. I had this same issue even with PVRX2 being listed as an exception and opening the ports fixed my problem.

Maybe this is a dumb question, but... which ports?

Opening up all tcp and udp is easiest.
