Hi,

I havge been using GBPVR for a while and it was working great. My PC crashed and I had to do a full install of windows etc and must have made a mistake somewhere. I have installed GBPVR a few times but cannot get the DVB EPG to populate. I am using the BDA Plugin setting on a Nova DT.

When I press the update EPG button the pop-up window goes straight to "Saving channel information". I have gone through the channel scan on both tuners and selected the channels in the mapping page (leaving out the "Audio 2" channels.

I'm sure this is user error but what else do I need to do?

I have loaded on the latest version of the Hauppauge software - Win TV6

Hi,

I would suggest removing the wintv application as this isn't needed to view tv in gbpvr, only the drivers are needed. Also try deleting the capture device within config and re-adding it. then scan for channels. Make sure epg source is set to dvb and you have channels selected ie ticked.

Thanks, I will try that - although I have already tried with earlier drivers and also taken out the tuner several times.

Out of interest when I do an EPG Update should the window show some channel scanning, at the moment it goes straight to Saving.....

Yes it should show a smaller window scanning the muxes downloading the epg data with a counter counting down which it does probably about 6 times and takes some 10 minutes in total.

Reproduce the problem then zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look.

Have you hit the 'map digital channel to epg channels' to scan for the channels you want to receive? If not, then 'update epg' will return pretty much immediately like you describe.

I believe (though i am no expert) that your problem will be solved by modifying the directories within config.
I had exactly the same problem as yourself - found that the live TV buffer + recording directories were both set to C:\temp (which did not exist). I modified recordings to my video drive and created the temp folder on C: .
Shutdown config and restart et voila !

Hope this helps

Hi, I had this problem and solved it as suggested by DLM4473, however, now although the EPG populates the guide only refrers to audio[2] channels which do not have any sound. I would be gratefull if someone could suggest a solution to this.
