Hi,
I'm testing DVD2MPEG. I have installed all like it is documented in the pdf. When I start the module, it shows that it is a 3-way conversion (not 4 like written in the doc). OK, but after the 3rd point there is no MPEG in the targetfolder. In my temp-folder there are 6 files:
- audio.ac3
- audio.mp2
- BeSweet.log (attached)
- video.m2v
- VTS_08 - Stream Information.txt
- VTS_08_0.IFO

What could be wrong with my configuration?

It is not documented correctly, but you actually need to use Besweet 1.5b, not the released version. You can get it at http://dspguru.notrace.dk/BeSweetv1.5b29.zip

Let me know if that fixes it.

Yes it works but only for 32 minutes? I have ripped a DVD to HD and it seems to work, but after 32 minutes the film ends. Testing the DVD directly it shows a length of ca. 120 minutes.

I have seen this happen on a number of occasions. I don’t know a lot about the details of how DVDs are encoded on the disk, but I think it has something to do with “sequence end codes”. If you set the plug-in to save temporary files and then look at the size of your .m2v file, if it is bigger than your .mpg this is probably the problem.

I have not found a command line tool that works to remove sequence end codes, which is why I have not built it into the plug-in. You can find a tool called resteam at http://shh.sysh.de/ that you can use. Run resteam, open the .m2v file, and select the “Remove Seq. End Codes” check box in the lower left-hand corner of the display. I leave everything else at their defaults. Click on the Write! button and wait while it fixes the file. When it is done, you will need to run the mplex command line again, using the new m2v file in place of the old original file. You can find the correct command line to use in the dvd2mpeg.log file.

If that doesn't fix your problem, you could try creating a custom image using DVDshrink first, mounting that image with Daemon tools, and then converting it.
