I just downloaded and installed GBPVR today and am having a heck of a time getting it set up. When I try to add a capture source and hit ok, the config tool goes away completely. It does the same thing if I try and check the box to "only show devices detected in this machine." I've attached the logs and I have the following computer specs:

AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+
2gb DDR PC2100 memory
XP Professional SP2
GeForce 6200 LE
Hauppauge HVR-1600

I'm at a loss. Any help would be appreciated

I suspect the patch from the following post will fix it: http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=2...stcount=39

Thanks Sub, that worked for that step. I was able to select my capture card, select antenna, and I signed up for CT.pvr since it was a free trial. I then clicked "update EPG". Nothing showed up. I guess I'm confused on what will show up since I was never asked my zip code nor asked to scan channels. Did I miss a step? How does GBPVR know what channels to add to the guide and how to find them? I will only be using my antenna to pick up HDTV broadcasts. I know which channels it should find by using WinTV, but I am confused on how to enter them and/or how to scan for them. Sorry for sounding ignorant, it's kind of how I feel at the moment. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I haven't used CT TV, but you usually have to define a channel lineup first with the provider then provide your login information to GBPVR by clicking the settings button next to the EPG source drop down. After that, then you should be able to update the EPG.

Hit the 'Update EPG' button then zip and attach the config.exe.log and I'll take a look.

It knows because you've setup the channels on your CT TV Listing account on its website. GB-PVR just downloads the channel associated with your CT TV Listings account.

After doing a little research, I found this on their front page:
<snip>
What is CT TV Listings?

CT TV Listings is a service that delivers U.S. TV listing data(Excluding OTA) for use in software based electronic TV guides....
<snip>

It's the "excluding OTA" part which is alarming. Again, I've never used it, so the OTA local info could be there for all I know, but I know schedulesdirect has a free 7 day trial and they have locals (at least for the Dallas area).

Ok, I think I'm getting closer. I didn't notice CT.pvr did not have OTA listings so I went ahead and tried Schedules Direct (thanks flyswatta). I was able to successfully update the EPG and it now shows all the correct channels. When I open PVRX2, click TV Guide and click a channel and show to watch it gives me a blank screen that I have to "end now" to get rid of. When I open GB-PVR and do the same thing it says: "No tuners are available to watch the requested channel." Attached are my logs

Are you doing analog or HD? Your GeForce 6200 LE may not be enough to play an HD signal. You can test HD playback on your system outside of GBPVR. Here's a link.

If you haven't already, try setting up the analog side first and get that working - it's much less taxing on your system than the HD stuff.

I am doing HD. I watched HD programming last night using the WinTV software that came with my HVR-1600 tuner and I've downloaded and watched the 720p trailer for Dark Knight so I'm almost positive my video card can handle it. I have installed the HDTV test software and I am currently downloading the 70 meg file to test it, so we'll see what it does.

I'll see if I can figure out the analog side in the mean time

Just viewed the HD test file (Charlie's Angel's trailer) using the demo viewer and it worked great with no lags on video or sound!
