System.Xml.XmlException: Invalid character in the given encoding. Line 8, position 32.

On two different installs when I try to run gbpvr config I get the above .Net Framework error message, this occurred on a new install also. I have .Net Framework 3.0 installed.

Trying GBPVR again as I like it's multi-tuner support. Stumped as to why I'm getting these errors as I had GBPVR running on an MCE 2005 install previously on this machine.

Tried a fresh install on an XP Pro install on the same machine & after setup when I try to configure it I get system.xml error message also.

Any ideas?

Does it say what xml file has that problem? If so, zip and attach that file and I'll take a look at it.

Also zip and attach your config.xml.

Thank's.

It looks like you have edited that file with wordpad, or other bad editor, and it broken broken the file encoding. You might need to replace config.xml with a copy of config-master.dont-edit-me.xml and reset you settings in the config app.

Download a free copy of Notepad++ for editing the config.xml file. It's awesome. Smile
