Occasionally, the recording service stops. I'm not too worried about fixing it, but would like to know about it/restart it.

I've tried playing with the recovery options, but they don't seem to have any effect. I think because it's gets a don't net error, it's doesn't shut down completely

Does any one have anything to keep track of the service, and make sure its up? or have some recovery settings that work? Mine are on First restart, second restart, 3rd restart computer.

When it happens, zip and attach the recording service logs, and check if there is a message in the Windows Event Viewer and I'll take a look. Hopefully these should give me some clues why your recording service is crashing.

ok, it's pretty infrequent though so I normally forget. There was an event log entry:
Code:
EventType clr20r3, P1 gbpvrrecordingservice.exe, P2 1.0.2873.14226, P3 c, P4 mscorlib, P5 2.0.0.0, P6 461eee3d, P7 3313, P8 10, P9 system.objectdisposedexception, P10 NIL.

For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.

I'll try and remember the logs and to check the event log next time.
