Sorry if I missed a previous post discussing this -- I searched every which way I could, but didn't find anything.

I just built a HTPC out of an old system I had (P4/1.4ghz, 512, 160GB, DVD, ATI Radeon 9200SE AGP, PVR500, and PVR150 all in a very cute NMediaPC HTPC case). Apparently, the 9200SE video card is too wimpy for PVRX2, which is fine since most of the time we're watching our recorded shows via the two MediaMVPs which uses the PVRX2 interface nicely. I figured I'd just use GBPVR on the HTPC (rather than PVRX2) until I find a cheap but working video card upgrade.

So I've encountered a little annoying thing with the TV Guide display. The TVGuideChannelHeaderType is set to "1" (to show the channel # and name), and that works fine in PVRX2 TV Guide. However in the GBPVR TV Guide all that shows is the name (no channel #).

Is there a way to make it work the same in both GBPVR and PVRX2? This is a completely new install, and I'm using the default Blue skin for both, so it's not something I did in my usual dinking with the skins.

Also, is the Skin folder for GBPVR and the Skin2 folder for PVRX2? I noticed I try to copy an older pre-PVRX2 tweaked skin file over to replace the Blue skin in the Skin folder, the next time I start GBPVR (not PVRX2) I get that "reinstall" GBPVR scenario, where I'm assuming it's reinstalling the default Blue skin over my replacement Blue skin(?)

GBPVR system info intentionally left blank because I'm personally
insulted that you can't remember it from previous signatures.

TVGuideChannelHeaderType isnt used in GBPVR.exe. This setting was only added in the 1.0 release, after I'd already stopped development of the GBPVR.exe application.

No easy setting change. To get the channel numbers to appear in GBPVR.exe you probably need to use xmltv rather than the built in Schedules Direct support, or edit the channel display_name in the database.

Yes.

Reason #1 for me to run PVRX2 instead of GBPVR, eh?

Yeah....well....I'm thinkin' this is excellent documentation for why I need to spend US$80 on a new video card...

"Oh, honey.....?"

sub Wrote:Yes.

So no easy skin change in the Skin folder versus the Skin2 folder. Oh, well. Again, since you're FORCING (haha) me to use PVRX2, I guess I'll have to upgrade the video card...

....I wonder if I can squeeze a new motherboard out of this....

The format of the skin files is different for the new skinning engine used in PVRX2.exe. Because I needed both PVRX2.exe and GBPVR.exe to be usable in the same install, but with different skin files, it was easier and clear to give them separate directories.
