For some reason my EPG doesn't list anything at all.

In the capture sources I have selected "DVB EPG Broadcsat" as the EPG source.

When I tell it to update the EPG it appears to do something, I get the message that it is updating but the actual EPG is then empty.

I am running the 1.1.5 GBPVR version with a Hauppauge Nova-T 500 DVB PCI card.

Hit the 'update epg' button in the config app, then zip and attach the config.exe.log and config.exe-native.log and I'll take a look.

You've got your recording directory set to C:\Temp\. Does this directory exist?

Doh !

I created the a directory on the drive that holds my media, d:\temp

Thanks for that.

Final question, can I use the native Hauppauge Nova T-500 remote with GBPVR, it is not the media center version.

Thanks for the help, the software is great!!

Great.

If you click the 'fix hauppauge remote settings' button in the config app, then restart the Hauppauge IR32.exe software, then it should work.

Apologies for somewhat jumping on the bandwagon here, but out of interest, where is the EPG data actually stored in this situation?

I'm doing a fresh install as we speak again with an Nova T 500 as above with the "DVB EPG Broadcsat" selected as the EPG source.

How do I schedule this to be automatically updated every week or should this happen automatically with these settings?

Cheers

In the database (gbpvr.db3).

It does do a temporary recording in C:\Temp\ while it is parsing the data, but this is deleted when the epg update process is complete.

The app will automatically run the EPG update once a day at the time specified in the config app.

Thanks Sub - Very speedy response! Smile

I think I was getting myself confused slightly as this is my dad's PC so only have to maintain it now and again (I use XP MCE at the minute ... boo hiss! Wink )... I think last time we'd used the XMLTV plugin which from memory seemed a far more convoluted way of getting EPG data.

Ta Very Much! Smile

Loving the new version BTW! So much so I'm contemplating building myself a GBPVR machine to feed the bedrooms with TV / Music Smile

Cheers
