remote mgt website

I just started playing with the remote mgt website and am having a bit of a problem. The photo and music libraries are empty... yet they're perfectly fine when I access them from the television.

I map drives to another machine, which houses the music and pics. The mapping is done from a .bat file in the Startup group. From memory, it's something like what's below. In gbpvr config I just point to z: & y: for music and picture library.

net use z: \\ws1\pics
net use y: \\ws1\mp3

The only thing I can think of that may be a problem is that whatever webserver is being used is starting before the .bat file maps the drives. I tried restarting the recording service after the drives were mapped but it made no difference.

The web server runs as a different user account so wont see any network drives you have mapped under your account.

Instead of adding z:\ to your video directories, you can add the UNC path like \\ws1\pics. Do this by browsing the network neighborhood when adding the directory.

Change the login of the gbpvr recording service from 'Local system" to a user account that is allowed to access the network (and the shares).

By default services are loaded under an account that is not allowed to access the network.
