Is it possible to have the TV Guide list the channels as they are provided by Directv, where the channels are listed, in order, 1-500 or whatever?

Also, some of the channel names are so long, it wraps to a second line. Can that be fixed as well?

A question. Where are you getting your listing information? (xmltv, schedules direct, etc...)

I ask this because, sometimes, when importing the schedule, the channels are out of order. With most listing providers that include Channel numbers in their channel definitions, the sort order should be working. If it is not, try this...

This will re-import your channel listings, and most likely they will be in the correct order. (You won't have to do this very often - rarely)

In regards to Channel names being long, I suspect that one could modify the TV Guide skin so that the text won't wrap, or one could edit the channels so that the entries are made shorter.

I don't know of anything that would help make that task easier...

Also, are you displaying icons with your channels? If you are, disabling this feature should make more room for longer channel names text...

Thanks for the reply.

I am getting my listing from schedule direct. I am not displaying icons. I'll give this script a shot and see what happens.
