I recently upgraded to v1.1.5 (my last upgrade was in early 2007). After configuration pvrX2 does not display picture on LiveTV (there is sound, though). When I run GBPVR, LiveTV works perfectly fine (as it also does on WinTV2000).

I am running Win2k with PVR150 board and all the necessary packages installed (MDAC, .NET, WMP9).

Having had the same problem last night, do you have temporary directory config to

c:\temp

and this does not exist?

The c:\TEMP does exist. However, after reading your post/link I created a temp folder under c:\program files\devnz\gbpvr\temp but I do not know how to make pvrx2 to point to it.

Attached are the log files that I just realized I should have posted in the first place.

run the "config" program and look under the "directories" tab.
It is the "LiveTV Buffer" setting.

I changed the LiveTV buffer pointer but that did not solve the problem. Still no picture - only sound.

What is your Playback Video Decoder set to?

Do not leave it at System Default, select a specific decoder and see if it helps. If not, try a different Video Decoder.

My Playback video decoder was set to the System Default (under Software MPEG-2 Playback), however, when switching to the rest of the 3 options there is no change in the situation (no picture, only sound under LiveTV).

The other three options I tried were:
1. InterVideo NonCSS Video Decoder
2. InterVideo Video Decoder
3. MPEG Video Decoder

Thank you for your suggestions, though.

Maybe try the Nvidia decoder located here:

I had good luck with it...

Edit: sorry I didn't read your post right and gave a silly solution I think. For PVRX2 to function you need to be able to run VMR9, I don't know what you would need for that in win2k. Maybe it's directx after all.
