Greetings,

Wondering if anyone has successfully set-up channel changing with the My Sky decoder?

I'm using a PVR150-MCE (remote is the same as number 4 in wiki but with a set of coloured buttons along the bottom and a teletext button). This card has the USB beanbag receiver with 2 IR blasters plugging into the beanbag. Reading the wiki I thought this set-up was internal of GB-PVR.

I have played with HIP and HIPSEND.

Perhaps someone already has a config file for HIP, or can list the settings one should make in GBPVR. I've spent many hours and read lots of wiki and posts trying to resolve it.

Many thx.

my sky you wont have too much fun with, the frequency for the ir blaster is higher than normal ir remote freqs, so it may not channel change. if you're not getting any channel changing (test via the remote codes screen in hip - under 'test ir') then thats why. Why are you wanting to change chans with mysky, anyway? it is a pvr after all (genuinely interested)???

Can only watch TV through SkyTV (no normal aerial connection), so to watch TV on my puter I have to use a cable connection to Sky. From there, I can't change channel without going to another room - P.I.T.A! Hence, the channel changing need.

Not sure if I use the SkyTV remote to shoot codes at HIP or the MCE one. I assume it has to be the Sky one, otherwise the correct codes aren't shot at the Sky receiver. Unfortunately, HIP doesn't seem to register with the Sky remote. You're right...could be the IR frequencies. I'll keep blundering on. Thx for the reply Smile

yep, probably will be the frequencies. Another option could be an ir extender, may work for you. If you'd like, ill ask a tech which ir extenders they use for mysky when im back at work, but im on holiday at the moment and will be away until next saturday from tonight

Appreciate that.

I don't see a quick solution as I've about spent my fill on trying to suss it. I was thinking of dropping the codes into my learning remote and see if that makes a difference. Also, I do have a remote extender I brought years ago (a possibility) but I have to find it (packed away somewhere) and I also couldn't be bothered running the cables.
