FireDTV FloppyDTV S2 - CI doesn't work!

Hi,

I have a FireDTV FloppyDTV S2.

No problems scanning for channels and can view all no conditional channels.
When I try and view a Conditional Access channel... I get a no signal screen or just blank.

FireDTV supply a software package called FireDTViewer.

The viewer shows all channels including all conditional perfectly!

The problem is with GB-PVR!

Any ideas and what can I try?

GBPVR is not compatible CI/CAMs's. The best you can do is soft cams via multidec plugins

If I load a softcam plugin can I hve the smartcard in the CAM which is used in the FLoppydtv or do I need to use an extral smartcard reader?

WHat plugin could I use to use the irdeto cam in which plugs ito the FloppyDTV?

To be honest I am not sure. I brought a Floppy DVT-s to receive Sky in the UK. I was intending to use it with a freesat card so I could watch all the non subscription channels here in the UK. Once I found out that GBPVR is not compatible with CI/CAM and after finding out that what i wanted to do was not possible with softcams I gave up.

I do believe mediaportal, sageTV and DVBViewer are all compatible with CI/CAMS. But in my opinion none of them are as good as GBPVR.
