Hey,
My computer savvy friend took my old HP and turned it into a DVR w/ Linux and MythTV. MythTV had a hiccup months and months ago so it wasnt working and then my power supply blew. I just replaced the power supply and now my Linux isnt working.
The point being now it is all up to me to get a DVR again. I dont know Linux but I know Windows and want to install XP or 2000. I am looking for some suggestions, helpful hints before I endeavor to install gbpvr.
1. Does anyone know of a good place to get a cracked Wind xp?
2. Anyone have some good tips to get me started with gbpvr or some guidance to avoid some common problems.
Thanks anyone.
Yeah I'm a noob and proud of it. :o

Office Depot, NewEgg, etc. You have to open the box to get the crack code.

Most common problems can be removed by applying patches from the "Survival Guide" sticky. Other than that, a forum search then post a problem and we'll be happy to help.

This not the place to look for advice on obtaining software illegally. Once you have your OS issues resolved, we can help you out with specific problems after that.
