Vista update for Hauppauge WinTV PVR

Have any Vista users with WinTV PVR's gotten an Windows update notice? I can't find much info on exactly what it does but it does say it's a 'recommended' update. I don't trust MS with updates so I choose to be told when they are available but I've not yet allowed it to be installed yet. I'm just not sure exactly what it's for.

If you right click the update, you should have a "View details" option.

Yep, I had checked that but it and the links included give very little detail. One of the links is to Winqual Help and the other is the standard help at MS.
I'm not anal about updates, I keep up with drivers and usually hear about Hauppauge updates as soon as they come out. Nothing is being discussed so far on the forums.

It's most likely an internal MS Windows system driver with basic features. I personally would not download it. I tend to stay away from drivers that are released by MS unless they are printer drivers that I need to use in Terminal Services. Those drivers tend to have reduced fuctionality.

I agree, I downloaded a Vista update for my PVR500 not too long ago and got a lot of recording troubles after that.
