pvrx2 stops responding

When fast forwarding a recording pvrx2 froze up and stoped responding. Attached is the logs. Wife is a little irratated and says it happens quite often. However, I have not noticed it as much when I am at controls but it does happen sometimes.

What time did it happen? (so I know where abouts to look in the logs)

It happened a few minutes before I posted the log. So sometime around 3:45-4:00pm today. Thanks sub.

I cant see any definite reason, but I'd suspect one of two things is causing it:

1) a decoder, either audio or video
2) or something related to the dvr-ms playback components

You'd probably need to try narrowing it down by try other decoders, and seeing if you can reproduce it with non dvr-ms files (ie AVI or MPEG files).

I did reproduce it with an mpg file. I tried two different files that I have saved and was able to ff and rw thru one move but on the second one it locked up after somewhere in the middle. I'm using it for ATSC feeds so I hears that the dvr-ms playback had the best results. I'll try a few different things to see if I can't get it worked out.

If it also does it with an mpg file, then is probably not related to dvr-ms, and more likely to be caused by one of the decoders you're using.

I was wondering, is there any difference when viewing a recording as it is happening as opposed to after it has completed? I noticed one night as I was watching a show that had started recording 15 mins earlier that when I went to skip ahead past commercials it was almost instant, ie the video immediatly started playing after it skipped ahead one minute. I tried this on two different channels and had the same result. When we watch a recording say from a previous night that we have not started when we skip ahead there is a slight delay before the video begins playing, like it freezes for a split second after a skip. I'm using the Nvidia purevideo decoder for both audio and video as I dont' have any other available besides the default MPEG decoder.
