1.2.9 won't play DVD's in overlay mode

When I tray to play a DVD in Overlay mode using PVRX2.exe the menu blinks for a split second & that's all.

It appears that I'm getting kicked back to the menu immediately.

The VMR9 options play the DVD though.
I've tried both Nvidia decoder & Intervideo decoder.

Any ideas?
