I'm trying out GBPVR to see if it supports my ATI DVB-T card but not getting very far! When I run Config.exe it just hangs - nothing displayed on the screen, no user interaction at all. Same thing happens on both 1.01.05 and 1.02.09.

Logs attached, hope someone can identify the problem.

I cant see anything obvious in your logs. Does config.exe.log always end with the same line when you try to run config.exe?

Thanks for the superfast response! Yes, the logfiles are consistent each time. The last entries are always the two 'failed to locate filter' entries in the native log.

Sorry, I'm not really sure what to suggest. I've not seen an other cases of it stopping this early in the config app startup.

So what's the next thing that the config app would normally do then after those 'failed to locate filter' messages (which I assume are okay/normal as you haven't mentioned them)?

Unfortunately the next steps after that arent anything that is likely to have problems. It just reads lots of settings from the config file and populates the settings on the screens.

Trust me to have a problem that nobody else has ever had!

If you have any ideas over the next few days please post as I've heard good things about GBPVR and was looking forward to trying it.

You're not the only one with the problem stevie. Mine does it too. It hangs on exit then after a few minutes will (slowly) close.

That's a system specific issue I think. My dev machine does the same but my other machine does not. One of these days I mean to find out why.

I decided to try running Config in safe mode and hey presto, after asking me to point it at the config directory (????), success, I had a config window for the first time!
After that Config would run without hanging in normal mode but sadly it doesn't detect my card - ATI AIW X800GT with DVB-T tuner and BDA driver - just giving me the 'No known cards detected in this machine' message.

Other apps such as DVB Dream and ProgDVB can happily detect and use my tuner - is GBPVR prevented by design considerations from using the AIW DVB-T tuner or can it be configured to use it ?

Thanks
Steve
