hello,

i try to get my new htpc running. here´s my problem:

recording/live-tv play´s no video or sound. gbpvr write´s a file (*.mpg) with 0 byte.
the tuning assistant reports:
- connectpins failed!
- failed to connect pinnamecrossbarvideodecoderout to pinnameanalogvideoin
then no video/sound

here´s my config:

gbpvr v0.23.13
hauppauge-driver v2.0.18.22280
msi hermes with sis651-chipset
ms windowsXP-SP2
.NET SP1

thx for help

i got the latest drivers from shspvr (the 150/250/350 package). didnt go near the hauppauge drivers, i got my 350 working again (stuffed up when the 150 went in), but i cant get the 150 to work either. it works fine with tuning assitant. but no joy with gbpvr. im getting the "connectpins failed" error aswell sometimes, sometimes it just doesnt do anything. 350 is working thou at least so i still have a working pvr.

when i mean sometimes that error and sometimes another, that because i was playing around with it, uninstalled gbpvr a few times, changed the configuration blah blah blah. so yeah different results from different setups, none with the 150 working (had it going for awhile i think, but 350 wasnt. why cant this just be simple Tongue)

hello all

sub has find a workaround for my problem.
the hauppauge-driver has in german a different name for the pins. after editing the direct.ini file [hauppauge pvr150] section
PIN_CAPTURE_ANALOG_VIDEO_IN=Analoger Videoeingang
all work fine [Image: smile.gif]

how to get the right name for the pin:
download and run graphedit (google will find it). From the menu, select "insert filter". Expand the 'WDM Stream Capture Devices' section, and insert the Hauppauge filter. This will add a box (filter) with various pins. there ist the right name for the video-in-pin.

thanks sub, great help and great software.

i tested varios pvr-softwaresolutions (wintvcapstart, mediaportal, tvcentral, showshifter....), but gbpvr is the best.

How excatly do we do that?
Can someone make a little guide step by step on how to do this?

Thanks!
