Hi all,
this may be a stupid question, but after hours of debugging, I think I need help.
Netradio has never worked on my machine. First I thought my router was blocking the relevant ports (like 8000), but I recently spent more time on the problem and realise that all the shoutcast works fine in standalone (from winamp).
When trying from Netradio in GBPVR, I get a "trying http://xxx" but it never seems to connect.
Copying the url in winamp run the stream straight away. What could be causing the problem? I know it's nothing to do with port now, but I don't know what's blocking gbpvr to play the stream....
I have attached my log.

Thanks in adance,
Yann

It definitely looks like a firewall is stopping the PVRX2.exe process from being able to connect to the outside world.

this is what I thought too, but I have no firewall on this machine and the XP one is disabled...
I'm confused! Anything I could check? It can't be the router if if works in stand alone.

I'm sure it is either a firewall, antivirus or netnanny type of app. There is no GB-PVR setting that'll make it work - its definitely something outside of GB-PVR.

Double check that the Windows firewall really is still disabled. Many of us here have been hosed by Microsoft updates in the past. For some reason Microsoft decides to have random updates turn the firewall back on without any notice to the user. Grrrr............

I am confident the windows firewall is disabled. Windows Update is also turned off on this machine. I have no antivirus, and this machine is on a DMZ (definitly not secure, but it's a barebone in the living room just for watching/recording TV and a server for the mvp in the bedroom).
The webradio plugin works fine but I do prefer the one embedded in GBPVR (I like that you can just save your favorite station in the netradio folder).
This thing is driving me crazy

Maybe I have another program interfering but I doubt it, this PC is pretty clean...The only time I plug a keyboard to it is to update GBPVR :-)

I'll keep digging...
