No automatic standby after playing music in PVRX2?

After playing a recording and stopping the playback PVRX2 does not prevent the automatic standby after 5 minutes as set in the power config of XP
After playing from the music library and stopping the playback there is (often/always?) no automatic standby.
Has this been seen by others?

I must be the only one with this problem.
How can I debug this?
Are there tools that can display the automatic standby settings of XP?
Does PVRX2 do anything to force XP not to go into standby when playing music?
Does PVRX2 do anything to XP when playing of music is finished and XP is again allowed to go to standby?

I know how to install a API montitor that can monitor API calls from PVRX2.
Which calls should I monitor?

Unfortunately this sort of thing can be really difficult to track down.

It regularly calls the SetThreadExecutionState() api call to keep the machine (and display) awake while videos are playing, but doesnt do anything to stop the machine from going into standby when music is playing. I had thought it probably did the same for music, but it doesnt seem to.
