crash after exiting the application

i have had to reinstall gbpvr (hdd failure), and now when exiting, the program crashes. i am on 1.15 (winxp).

This is happening because you've told it you have a USB-UIRT based remote, but there is no USB-UIRT connected to your machine. ("USB-UIRT" is a specific product, not a generic name for all USB connected remote receivers)

the usb-uirt is connected and the remote is fully functioning with GBPVR. does it expect the USB-UIRT to be connected to a specific port?

No.

There must be something funny going on with the USB-UIRT or the USB ports. This is the exact error you'd get if you unplugged you USB-UIRT then started the app.
