Is it possible to have the MVP show up in Networky Neighborhood like the other connected devices?

Thanks.

Thanks for the reply.
BTW really great piece of software this GB-PVR. You are quite the guy doing this and working a fulltime job along with a family. My hat is off to you.

It is seen as a media sharing device on my Vista setup.

Please forgive my lack of knowledge here. What is a PCH? If it shows up in Vista.. is there some way it can show up in XP? If not .. it's not a big deal more of a curiousity.

A "PCH" is a "PopCorn Hour" device. Different device from an MVP, but similar purpose. See http://www.popcornhour.com

To see it as a upnp av device for XP look at:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using...uly22.mspx
in the "Enabling the UPnP User Interface" section.

I think (my istar is on route so I don't know for sure) to see it in the network neighborhood you need to have server functionality which means you need the internal harddrive and the apps installed. Not sure if it shows up as a av upnp server or samba (windows) share or both.

Zack...

I tried enabling the UPnP items and the associated services. Still does not work. What promptedthis was when I tried Network Magic it does show up as a network device with their software butnot in network Neighborhood. Not a big deal more of a curiousty. Thanks for you suggestion.

Well on my XP pro machine I can see both my mythtv upnp server and my upnp router (dlink dir655). I notice there is an option on the sidebar of the "my network places" window to hide upnp devices, maybe you have a similar icon that would show upnp devices.
