mp3 playback glitch with screen saver

When I play back an MP3, every time the screen saver moves the audio turns off for a second and then back on. Do I need to disable the screen saver to stop this behaviour, or is there a different way to work around this?

Does anyone else see this problem? I'm using the default music plugin. The audio cuts off for a few seconds whenever the screensaver moves position.

I've not seen any other reports of this, but I'm wondering if you machine is struggling to do both the direct3d animations and the music playback at the same time.

If you run in VMR9 Fullscreen Exclusive mode does it help? This is a little bit easier on the system.

I do run in VMR9 FSE. It's a 2600+ AMD core with an ati9600 pro AGP card and it handles playback easily.

Does the audio renderer change anything for MP3 playback?

I'll experiment around a little now that I know it's not a issue with PVRX2.
