Hi there,

i have just bought a brand new Terratec Cintergy C PCI HD Capture card, it works with the supplied software and ProgDVB as well!

But I do not have any ideas how to setup the chanels within gbpvr. I have modified the bda.ini as described, this should be ok.

What do I have to enter within the Field "Tuning Request"

When I click "Map digital channels to EPG Chanels", first an error message comes up (GBPVR was unable to start the BDA device you have configured. Check if the device is configured properly, and not already in use". I am quite sure the device is not in use by another application. After this a .net exception pops up, telling something about "Input Stgring was not in correct format"

See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** Exception Text **************
System.FormatException: Input string was not in a correct format.

at System.Number.ParseInt32(String s, NumberStyles style, NumberFormatInfo info)
at NativeUtilities.BDARecorder.SubmitTuningRequest(String tuningRequest, Boolean force)
at NativeUtilities.BDARecorder.StartScanTransponder(String transponder, Int32& signalStrength, Int32& signalQuality)
at Config.Plugins.x501d1ffea8b79320.x692a1118e1794d77(Object xdf2e3583f942db7b, EventArgs xc4f45905cb1fc7ba)
at System.Windows.Forms.Timer.OnTick(EventArgs e)
at System.Windows.Forms.Timer.TimerNativeWindow.WndProc(Message& m)
at System.Windows.Forms.NativeWindow.Callback(IntPtr hWnd, Int32 msg, IntPtr wparam, IntPtr lparam)

Thanks for your tips in advance

You dont type anything in the field. Its automatically populated by the 'map digital channels to epg channels' step.

Quote:System.FormatException: Input string was not in a correct format.
First try deleting any *.cache files in the C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\BDA directory, then try running the config app and doing the 'map digital channels to epg channels' step. If it still has the problem, then zip and attach the config.exe.log and config.exe-native.log and I'll take a look.

Hi, thanks for this very very fast answer. IJK deleted the cached file, and got an other error message (object not set to an instance...)

I have attached the logs, I took a look inside, I think i am missing some components (filters?). What to do?

Thanks a lot,
Dietmar

See if setting <BDAAutoDetectTuner>false</BDAAutoDetectTuner> in config.xml helps.

Hi Sub,

sorry, bad news. Still not working. I checked the drivers version, this is the latest available.

Anything else I can try?

Thanks,

Can you post the logs again now that you've got that set?

There is nothing obvious in the logs. Are you positive the device isnt in use elsewhere in the system?

Hi!

I have deinstalled the tv software supplied with the card as well as dvbprog, so im am sure there is no app accessing the card!

Is there anything else i can do? I do not have got vs installed, but i do have to csharpdevelop. Can I help you with debugging?

I am sure it is just a small setting we have to figure out!

Thanks,

Sorry, I dont really have any suggestions for you. I'm pretty sure there isnt a GB-PVR setting that will help with this.
