I'm testing the ATI 650 PCIe card for Microsoft and already have been using the HVR-1600 but am having some difficulty with these 2 together and am not sure if there is a conflict. I've decided to take QAM out the picture since my cable company admits they change often and may even no longer offer them soon but, when both cards are used I can't seem to get an OTA channels. I can see Live TV start but there is no picture or sound and the tuner status does show the correct tuner being used. I can record those channels, just not see them live.
The ATI ATSC tuner doesn't work at all but I've not spent too much time toying with it yet but the analog side works fine.
Finally, it could simply be signal loss due to the splitter but using WinTV for the HVR1600 shows a nice signal.
Is there possibly a limit to ATSC tuners being used in GBPVR? FWIW, I'm not as happy with the ATI 650 as I am with the HVR1600 if anyone cares about my opinion.

There is no limitations that should stop this working.

If you reproduce the problem, then zip and attach the pvrx2.exe.log and pvrx2.exe-native.log, I'll take a look.

Thanks sub, I'll try to get this to you later but there's no rush on this. I just wanted to rule out the possibility of a conflict and don't know much at all about the ATSC side of things.

sub, I'm still not able to get the ATSC tuner to show live tv. Here's what I'm doing.
Start PVRX2---go to Live TV (TV was previosly on channel 3 an ATSC mapped channel). I get a black screen. Then I change channels to any other non ATSC channel and Live TV works. Status shows the switch to Analog (Pay no attention to the screen shot showing the '1800' it's my typo and is a '1600'). If I then switch back to channel 3 (ATSC) it shows the channel 3 from the analog tuner and not the ATSC tuner.
I hope I'm making myself clear.
Log file enclose.
Thanks

Paul

There seems to be something screwy happening on your machine. Normally the Microsoft Demux will have 5 pins with the names "1" thru "5". On your machine it strangely has 8 pins named "001" through "008". I'm not really sure what to suggest for this - its not something I've come across before.

Well, I guess it could have something to do with the fact that I have 2 OCUR tuners that I'm testing for MS connected to this but I can say that ATSC did work before installing the ATI card AND it does work with WinTV and with Media Center. However, it simply might be the number of different types of tuners....who knows. It's no biggie and I thank you for your help. I may mention this to those I'm testing with to see what they come up with. If so, I'll let you know what I find.
Cheers.
