Should There Be Two PVRX2 instances in Task Mgr?

When I start up my computer, I notice that there are two instances of PVRX2 in Task Manager. They both take up approximately 300MB of memory.

Is this right?

I do have the program start up 2 MediaMVP servers (I think that is what they are called in CONFIG) but I don't see why there are two copies of PVRX2 that take up a lot of RAM.

Each mediaMVP that you started will load a pvrx2. You should probably have 3.

I had thought that the MVP Server instances were just small programs that waited for a request from the MediaMVP and then started up PVRX2. I didn't realize that each instance was starting up another copy of PVRX2.

Since I have a setup where I have two rooms (one with a MediaMVP and the second with a PCH, which I am still trying to get to work fully) that access the recorded files, I had set CONFIG to start 2 servers but since only one room at a time will ever be active I have reduced it to starting one server. Since Windows is so terrible at managing memory (it has frequently indicated that it has run out of memory even though I have 1.25 GB of RAM and another 1GB Page File). This should help things.

Actually PVRX2.exe for me is only 30k with ML2. Some plugins can use a lot a memory, I found the Weather plugin wasn't for me because of this.

Thanks. I didn't know that. I have a bunch of plugins activated, many of which I infrequently use.

I do use the Weather Plug-In with it monitoring two cities (because the Doppler Radar for the city I am most interested in has a bunch of noise on it always and doesn't show where rain is so I also have another city nearby that uses a different doppler radar feed).

I will do some experimenting and see what effects it has on the memory footprint to cut the number of cities.

Are there other plug-ins that are "memory hogs"? Is there anywhere I can find this information or is it something I just have to experiment with to find which ones have a lot of extra baggage?
