Now I can't run any GBPVR apps without it crashing (encountered a problem and needs to close etc etc)

I edited the file with wordpad. Figured wordpad did something stupid.. or maybe it was just me since I didn't make a backup first :o and it was murphys law.

How can I fix it??

Wordpad breaks the file. You need to use a simple text editor like notepad.

You can take a copy of config-master.dont-edit-me.xml and overwrite config.xml with it to get back to a working config file.

I fixed the problem:

When I opened the XML file in IE7 I got this error:

An invalid character was found in text content. Error processing resource 'file:///C:/Program Files/devnz/gbpvr/config.xml....

<SupportedDecoders>bitcontrol

So I opened the file with notepad++ (which I probably should have to begin with) and found several characters in the file that got randomly replaced with what looks like the string "NUL" but appears as a single character, cannot be copied and has a black background.

I uploaded the file to my webhost and using the code editor was able to copy the character which looks like this:

After replacing those with the correct characters the file is now valid.
