(Hopefully) a couple of easy Questions

Firstly, my compliments on a great PVR! Sub, I don’t know how you manage to spend time on anything else!

I’ve pretty much worked-out most of the bugs, but I have two nagging problems that hopefully are an easy fix for someone more experienced.

I’m trying to get HD content on BEV in Canada on Nimiq 2, 82W. I have it now to the point where I’ll get video & audio after a delay of up to 5 minutes. If I change channels, I have to wait another 5 minutes. Audio starts right away. SD video works fine all the time. I don’t have a very good grasp of codecs, but from what I’ve read, it’s got something to do with non-standard HD video on BEV.

The second problem may be easier (or not). I have 5 LNBs, with 2 on one port of my 4X1 diseqc switch. With MT, TSReader or DVBDream, I can switch the 22kHz switch no problem changing the SW from 0 to 11700. I am unable to control the 22kHz switch behind the diseqc switch in GBPVR.

Any words of wisdom would be much appreciated.

Unfortunately I'm not particularly familiar with either of these topics, so I dont know if there is much info I can supply.

For the decryption delay, to me that sounds like its probably something to do with the multidec decoders you're using. Maybe there is some info shown in the multidec tray icon? ie maybe some new message appears when the video finally appears.

For the LNB, I'm not really sure with this sort of setup. We've got one satellite here in NZ with all our free to air signals so diseqc switches isnt something I'm very familiar with. I have done very basic testing with a diseqc 4x1 switch, and with a legacy 22KHz switch. 4x1 diseqc should work FireDTV, twinhan and Hauppauge devices. 22KHz switch works on the Twinhan devices only. I'm not sure what happens when you try to combine the two.

You can try this:
There is a bda Twinhann lnb setting in the config.xml file which you need to change manually (can not use the config GUI):
<BDATwinhanDiseqcMethod>2</BDATwinhanDiseqcMethod>

"2" works for me with my Twinhan1020 connected to a dishpro500. Other valid settings I think are "1" and I believe "0" is deprecated.

Tried setting to "2", no change, so I'll try "0" otherwise I'll just settle with the 600 odd channels I'm able to get.
