I have a MediaPC with Mdapi all setup and working on XP.
OK, Now I want it a little more mobile as well, so I bought a USB TV-card (Emtec) to the new Laptop, which sadly have Vista Home Premium.
I installed a fresh version of GBpvr to the laptop and copied newcs, ffdecsa and everything in the MDPlugin folder (I have yankse and mdapifilter.ax in there. And I registered with admin rights).

But all that happens is that a user logs in to newcs. In the mdapi log window I only get one row stating the version of mdapi-session (do not remember exactly).

Is there some setting in Vista that I have to enable? In the last few days I've tried various versions of mdapifilter together with a bunch of other clients instead of yankse, but without any success.

I didnt have to do anything special to get it working on my Vista machine.

Does the tray icon log show any useful messages?

No. Just one single row that the mdapi is enabled (or something along those lines).

Which mdapifilter version works best with GBpvr? Or to refrase, is there some versions to avoid (due to special support to other software)

I havent used that many versions. I'm using a really old version.

Does the tray icon show that your multidec plugin has been loaded? does it show its getting data?

Yes, the plugin shows (yankse) and it's settings. But if I open the log window, the two fields on top is empty and only that single row appears in the box. The mdapifilter that works in XP is from dec -06, I guess thats the first one. That one should work i vista as well, then?

I Have noticed that if I start from a free channel and then switch to a coded, mdapi do not start. If I start on a coded channel, the mdapi do start (no picture though). But when I switch to a free channel from this state, I never get a picture. I have to go back to the guide first. (I'm at work right now so I can't even add any logs...)

I have now tried with four different dapifilter, 3 different ffdecsa.dll (they are still meant to be kept in the gbpvr folder??). I got the best result with mdapifilter 2.0beta1:
17:45:30: MDAPI_unknown
17:45:28: MDAPI_GET_VERSION: MD-API Version 01.03 - 01.06
17:45:28: MDAPI_unknown

I get logged in to newcs but no traffic is registred.

I installed myTheatre and copied yankse and ini-files to that folder - success right away!!

But I would prefer yo use my old friend gbpvr!

Any idea??

Maybe try created a c:\temp directory, and in regedit set HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Devnz\LogPSIProcessing=2 (DWORD), then start the app and try viewing live tv. Stop live tv after 15 seconds. Zip and attach the c:\temp\psi.log that got created. Delete the registry setting - it generates massive temporary files.

The trouble continues... The temp folder is still empty after I fllowed the instructions aobve... And now I noticed another sympthom, free channels work but coded returns directly to the tv-guide. (this have occured once in a while earlier too but now it is always)

Start a command prompt with 'run as administrator', change to the gbpvr directory, and run the ReRegisterFilters.bat file, then try again.

If its still not working, then try viewing an encrypted channel in live tv, then zip and attach the pvrx2.exe.log and pvrx2.exe-native.log.
