Need ir remote help

I am totally lost here. I figured getting the remote working would be easy (yeah right!).

Have an Antec Fusion Black 430 (Veris family) which has an iMon vfd/ir unit. Tuner card is a Hauppauge HVR-1250 (don't want to use the external IR cable) which came with a remote control.

I would have thought it would be as easy as loading the iMon software and starting up PVRx2 :mad:.

What am I missing here? Is there some method to see the IR capture in debug mode, just to make sure it is working at all?

From GB-PVR's perspective it doesnt know anything about your remote - it just thinks someone is sitting at the keyboard pressing keys. Its up to the software that came with your IR Receiver to monitor any IR signals and convert them into keystrokes which are sent to GB-PVR.

The place to look is in the iMon software configuration.

The Fusion VFDs are crippled to where they will only work with an MCE remote so I don't think it will work with the Hauppauge remote. I did post an imo file for PVRx2 at http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=2...stcount=17 that you can try though.

I would be interested to hear if you ever get this to work as I have one of these cases and a Hauppauge remote and gave up trying to get the remote to work with the internal case sensor, so have ended up sticking the Hauppauge sensor discretely on the case.

If I can get ahold of a Hauppauge remote, I'll try to see if I can get it working.

It would appear the iMon is setup to work on a different IR wavelength, so no way you could get the iMon to work with a Hauppauge remote.

I hooked the IR cable up to my HVR-1250 and fired up the IR server that comes in the WinTV install. Clicked the "45 button fix" for the Hauppauge remote and started up PVRx2. The remote works for a short while then just stops. Have to exit out of PVRx2 and restart the IR server to get it working for a short while again (usually works for about 1-3 minutes). Anyone seen this?

One small request, please for the sake of some future poor soul's sanity but a little more text or link or something to let someone know the "direct hauppauge remote" option ONLY works with the PVR-250 and 350. Would have saved me like 30 minutes of torturous insanity.

I've changed the text in the next release to make this obvious.

Sorry, I dont know. Its not a problem I've had.

I'm fairly sure I've seen others with that problem in that past though, so try doing a forum search.

Does the VFD freeze as well? That is an issue with the Antecs that has been driving me nuts. To resolve, you can:

Close Imon.
Disable "SG Control Device" under USB devices in the device manager.
Enable the device.
Start Imon.

Or you can shut down, then start back up. "Restart" does not work.
