For about 24h I have struggled with GBPVR Video Library playback. The main issue was how to use subtitles for movies and how to maintain xvid/divx movies aspect ratio (as you know GBPVR by default stretches movies to 4:3). I've figured out it now:
*) Remove all mpeg4 codecs from windows (to avoid conflicts)
*) install ffdshow
*) from ffdshow codecs settings select xvid/divx/etc to be played back using libavcodec
*) for subtitle support enable "subtitles" from ffdshow and tick before search (using "search in: ."
*) enable in ffdshow "resize and aspect", tick in "resize" and using "specify size" new size as 800x600 for most cases is enough. Tick in "resize always" and "keep original aspect ratio".
*) "apply & ok" and run GBPVR and enjoy the show! :-)
