Cant get rid of HD stutter in GBPVR

So I have tried everything to get rid of the Stutter I have in GBPVR when viewing over the air HD/Digital channels. Ive tried a huge number of different codecs, both audio/video. Ive formatted 3-4 times already trying different things and it just wont go away.

On the flip side I decided to try a couple of other programs including Sage TV and Beyond TV and I dont have this problem with either of these programs. My HD with both is crisp and clear.

I would prefer not to go with either of these programs. I dont like the way Sage TV works. I do like Beyond TV but it doesnt have the media abilities that GBPVR has with movies and such. Not to mention the cost involved.

Has anyone run into a similar problem and found a fix? Its just wierd to me that it seems to be GBPVR specific.

I was using FFVIDEO and had selected some filters that where consuming plenty of processing power I reckon you got processing power problems

Can you check what % of processing you using

alt ctrl del

Taskbar look for processors

then look at the little meter in the taskbar below and run you mouse over it

Are you using any video audio stuff that needs special attention

when you watch something does any audio or video program show in your task bar if so right click on it and see what is there

Have tried all of the recommendations on the Wiki.

System Info.
Opteron 165 (Socket 939) Overclocked to 2.4 Ghz
2 Gigs Corsair XMS ram
Right now im using ATI HD2600 Video Card, have also tried with a Nvidia 7800GTX
3 Harddrives, All Sata 3.0 GB
Haupauge 1600

Most recent GBPVR version. Off a reformat. (Did the same thing before reformat)





Bill007- Ive done this and im using approximately 14% of my Processor power. Ive tried with the video offloaded onto my graphics card through hardware acceleration as well as letting the CPU process it. Same result with stutter either way.

Watching movies or anything else is fine.

Moving my antenna doesnt seem to make it less stuttery in GBPVR.

It just boggles me that I dont have this problem with Sage nor Beyond TV but cant figure out how to fix it in GBPVR. Im out of ideas.

Hmmm,

Your rig should handle it - How about a few more clues:
Watching HDTV live preview - stutter or no stutter?
Watching HDTV live timeshifted - stutter or no stutter?
Watching HDTV that you previously recorded - stutter or not stutter?
Video Renderer = overlay?, vmr9, vmr9 custom, vmr9 exclusive or evr?
Splitter/Demuxer used during timeshift and previously recorded?
Are you recording dvr-ms or ts?
Which demux/splitter is being used?

I would try ffdshow or mpv player and try to force the gbpvr_parser as the demux. Then get the lastgraph.grf for the situations above and try to compare filters to understand what is happening. Since BTV and sage work GBPVR should as well its just what filters are being used. Since you have low CPU and still have stutter it may be the splitter/demux being used may cause the issue.

Also, what version of quartz.dll do you have on your computer. Some people were reporting that they installed quartz.dll from 9.0b, and windows replaced it back with automatic update.
