PVRX2 a/v sync problem

I just upgraded to 1.2.13. I was using gbpvr.exe previously. Now with pvrx2, I've got problems with the audio and video not staying in sync. Is this due to pvrx2 being too beefy for my hardware? What can I do to improve performance?

you talk about your hardware but you dont say what you have

Here are my specs:
AMD Athlon 1.68 GHz
Ram: 512 Meg
Video: NVidia GeForce4 MX 4000

you need to select a video and audio decoder other than default
and for trouble shooting choose the same brand if you can
