Hi all,

OK just got around to setting up a new/old client (same box some new innards) to stick back downstairs. All pretty much working except LiveTV, which is important to work for WAF.

Got this report from my log on the server when trying LiveTV:

2008-08-06 00:34:16.078 VERBOSE [17] STATUS: DEADBEEF000000F5
2008-08-06 00:34:24.078 VERBOSE [17] returning length: 0
2008-08-06 00:34:24.078 VERBOSE [17] STATUS: DEADBEEF000000F5
2008-08-06 00:34:32.078 VERBOSE [17] returning length: 0
2008-08-06 00:34:32.078 VERBOSE [17] STATUS: DEADBEEF000000F5
2008-08-06 00:34:40.078 VERBOSE [17] returning length: 0
2008-08-06 00:34:40.078 VERBOSE [17] STATUS: DEADBEEF000000F5
2008-08-06 00:34:48.078 VERBOSE [17] returning length: 0
2008-08-06 00:34:57.359 ERROR [5] Found expired lease. Stopping recording.
2008-08-06 00:34:57.500 VERBOSE [5] Received request to stop livetv: 4

Firstly I find the DEADBEEF message questionable but why LiveTV not playing????

Cheers

Steeb

Are the client and server running the same version of GB-PVR?

Hi Martin:

to follow your link, which I have done

Quote:0xDEADBEEF ("dead beef") is used by IBM RS/6000 systems, Mac OS on 32-bit PowerPC processors and the Commodore Amiga as a magic debug value. On Sun Microsystems' Solaris, marks freed kernel memory. On OpenVMS, running on Alpha processes DEAD_BEEF can be seen by pressing CTRL-T.

OK, so is a processor/system getting in my way?

Cheers

DEADBEEF has been used for a very long time on PCs aswell. I remember encountering it first back in the mid 80s.

Zip and attach the client and server logs and I'll take a look for you.

Hiya Sub,

what I've done:

booted both boxes into safe mode and deleted all logs.

rebooted server then client. Tried Live TV with Client.

All clean logs attached, still same problem with LiveTV on the Client:
