I had a strange situation when the 2nd tuner (Device#2) on my HVR2200 stopped working.

LiveTV reported no signal and I checked config->capture sources and found that Device#1 was working but not #2. So I could not watch any of the channels. pvrx2 logs enclosed.

Device#2 came back when I rebooted but I had to wait for my other tuner card to finish recording first.

Does anyone know why this dual tuner card would lose one of the tuners like this and is there any way to watch in GBPVR with the remaining tuner?

You said it was recording while this happened, so you could only have watched the program it was recording at the time, because the 2nd tuner stopped working. You could have watched the program by going to recordings-pending or by selecting the program in the tvguide.

I have 3 tuner cards on my system (DVB-T, DVB-S and Analogue). The recording at that time was a different card.

Aahh, sorry, misunderstood you. The only way I see you could have used the 2nd tuner is by by recording the show you want to watch, it would (should) have used that tuner for recording which you could have watched through recordings-pending. But if it happens again you better post the logs so someone (sub probably) can take a look at them.
