Remote controller not working when playing converted show

When I was away on holiday I recorded a lot of shows that was converted using the DivX profile to save space. All this went smootly but when I start playing back one of this shows the remote controller stops to work. As this isn't bad enough no keyboard commands work eighter so I cant stop, skip or pause once the playback is started.

Anyone got an idea of why and what to do about it?

This has to do with the divx-decoder becoming the active window.(stealing focus, somthing like that) When you do a search for divx and remote I'm sure something will come up.
