Exit on Main Menu - Inconsistencies

I am using GBPVR with community skin.

When I hit the EXIT button I have found various behaviours:

1. Exits cleanly and able to see the normal windows XP start up screen
2. Does not exit - Just hangs! But finally exits after some considerable time
3. Exits but the skin screen is overlayed on the windows XP start up screen

Anybody have such issues?

I'm not aware of any problem with this, but reproduce the problem, then zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look.

This can sometimes happen on XP if you're running the VMR9 Fullscreen Exclusive renderer. Is this what you're using?

I think I know the problem....It is MovieWiz that is creating the problem

Looked at the logs! My client is connected via G wireless. Before you guys start thrashing me lemme tell you that all my x.264 video's plays flawlessly (signal strength is good).

Whenever, you start the PVRX2.exe MovieWiz starts cataloging the database and per the log it took 3 minutes to do so....that is pretty long!

The user will get confused (like me) if you exited the PVRX2.exe without even going thru Movie Wizard menu. In this example, the EXIT is waiting for Movie Wiz to complete its catalog

There is not much I can do about that one. Try asking JavaWiz in his Movie Wiz subforum. He might have some ideas.

I've experienced the same effects. It only happens with VMR9. Most times I just wait, but sometimes I have to right click on a blank area of the screen to get to the "refresh" command.

crossnet, just disable to MovieWiz (not uninstall just disable by deselecting using check box under plugin) and see if that fixes it!

Or if you dont have Movie Wiz, are you using VMR9 Fullscreen Exclusive? If not, reproduce the problem, then zip and attach the pvrx2.exe.log and pvrx2.exe-native.log and I'll take a look.
