Is this behaviour expected out of PVRX2.EXE 1.2.9?

I get a big screen with a RED X on a white background with some window error message. This scenario happens when:

1. Both the Client & Server machine is turned on
2. The network share NAS is not accessible
3. Client machine has auto start of PVRX2.EXE

However, when I start the NAS, everything works fine.

I am not sure the PVRX2.EXE must crash when a particular resource directory is unavailable?

Any comments?

If all the network share houses are recordings, then I don't think it should be behaving as such. Normally, GB-PVR will just remove files it doesn't find from the Recordings menu. What's the specific Windows error message you're getting?

Post the logs and I'll take a look.

at least your database share (i.e. \\server\gbpvr) must be accessible on pc client-startup pvrx2.exe, otherwise you'll have the big red X
