can't get hip to come up before gbpvr

HI I hope this is the right thread for this question. I have gbpvr set to start at boot. I need HIP to fire up first and then fire up gbpvr. I need hip to be in a run state. Every time I try this hip starts in an edit state. I can do this in a vbscript file. but I can't force HIP to be in a run state. Has anybody conquered this? Any thoughts appreciated.

normally starts in a edit stat if it cant find the .exe of a program maybe you have a dead link
it will show grey from memory

I just put hip in the startup folder from memory, there was a slight pause once pvrx2 was loaded before i could use it though.
