Hey,

I've had a problem with GBPVR when changing to or from one specific channel causes either PVRX2.exe to crash or a black screen and exit to main menu, requiring a restart of the recording service. I'm running a Technotrend DVB-C 1500 card and the channel in question is MTV (T:C,394000,6900,QAM128,8). I think this problem began in the newest version of GBPVR, but I'm not 100% sure (I don't watch MTV that often Smile ). I checked the logs and found this in the pvrx2.exe.log:

2008-09-16 15:44:39.781 VERBOSE [1] System.AccessViolationException: Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt.

I've attached the logs including this one. Thank you in advance!

The first thing you could try is a different audio/video decoder. If that doesnt work you might need to do a one minute long 'full ts' recording so I can try playing it here in the debugger.

OK, thanks, I'll try that. I'm currently using the NVIDIA Purevideo decoder with ffdshow for audio.
Could the mux have anything to do with it? I'm using the Cyberlink Mux.
I'll try switching to something else and I'll let you know how it turns out.

No mux is used during live preview mode live tv.

So now I've tried three different video and audio decoders, NVIDIA Purevideo, Cyberlink PowerDVD 8 and ffdshow and the problem remains the same with all three. I checked the logs and the same error always shows up as PVRX2.exe crashes.

Is there anything else I can try or do you want me to record a .TS of this channel for you, sub?

If you post a link to a short .ts file I'll take a look.

Alright, I've recorded a short Full TS recording of the channel in question (MTV). I had to keep it pretty short because I don't have that much hosting space. If you need a longer recording, let me know. Here's the link: TS file

Thank you!

Sorry, but I was unable to reproduce this problem here with that TS file.
