Most people use the Schedules Direct service, but mc2xml is a relatively popular free option too. http://mc2xml.110mb.com/

Just started useing GBPVR and if you want a free EPG this one works fine for me in the US
http://mc2xml.110mb.com/. There is even instructions on how to install it for GBPVR. The only thing for me is it doesnt seem to update automatcly. Which is no big deal for me. It gets about 2 weeks of programming and to update all i do is hit the update EPG in the setting window, takes about 1 minute to download convert to xml file and read it. Oh i see your in Canada, i think it works for Canada too but not sure.

In fact as the program actually retieves listings from the Windows MCE EPG servers, you can data for any country that you can get listings on MCE... If you are having trouble getting your listings regularily/automatically then something is wrong that can usually be fixed. Post a thread in support

I'll have a looksee to either replace my current source or use it to fill the gaps. And to make it a standby.

Update. Wonderous. For the UK it has the Sky channel numbers, so for a new setup this removes hours of work. Includes all the channels missing from the Radio Times listings....
Although you may well want to make up an exlude list. I'm just plucking up courage to make the move.............

It works like a charm bracelet. Once you get the hang of this program you really begin to appreciate how good it is!

the only thing that makes me concern with http://mc2xml.110mb.com/, is the data provided with mce epg, i.e. there are some (younger?) channels not covered. but that's not the fault of mc2xml of course, which works great
