Hello folks,

Has anyone else noticed that you can't get rid of the task bar along the bottom of the screen when using Aero?

Couldn't find any refernces to this in the forums so it doesn't appear to be a common problem but if anyone knows of any fixes that would be great!

Meanwhile I can live without Aero but not without GB-PVR, great bit of software, thanks Sub Smile

Cheers
Al

I cant say its something I've ever seen.

How are you entering fullscreen mode? ie, alt-enter key press, or is it set to start in fullscreen mode?

I'm not in front of a Vista machine at the moment but I believe if you double click the maximized screen at the top, the true, full screen mode should work. It does for me on 2 Vista/GBPVR machines.

Doesn't matter how I enter fullscreen mode I can't find a way to get rid of the task bar if the Aero colour scheme is enabled.

Double clicking the top of the screen in full screen mode doesn't help either unfortunately!

Solution:

1. Go to the installation directory of GB-PVR
2. Right-click on PVRX2.exe => Properties
3. Select the Compatibility tab
4. Check the 'Disable desktop composition' option
5. Click on OK
6. Start PVRX2.exe
7. Close PVRX2.exe
8. Right-click on PVRX2.exe => Properties
9. Select the Compatibility tab
10. Uncheck the 'Disable desktop composition' option
