i have a PVR-105 directly connected to the wall by a cable (no box). i assumed my source was "internal tuner", but gb-pvr hangs when i try to get live tv. should i try a different source?

also, i purchased a MCE remote for my pvr setup (more specifically, http://www.pcalchemy.com/product....1f35d). it doesnt come with drivers, as it it assumed to automatically work with MCE (WHICH i'm obviously not running). any suggestions on setting up this remote in config?

thanks for the help!

Yes, you're correct selecting 'internal tuner'. Do you have an MPEG2 decoder installed on your machine? GB-PVR requires one.

Try again, then email the log files from c:\program files\devnz\gbpvr to me at support@devnz.com and I'll take a look.

I dont think my MCE remote came with drivers either, but admittedly its been about 8 months since I got mine, so I dont really remember clearly.

On the 'Misc' tab of the config app, did you set the remote control type to MCE? This should be all you need to do.

thanks for the replies guys. i got the video to work on my monitor, but not my tv - any suggestions (the TV just shows a black screen)?
i am running an abit KT7-A mobo with an athlon 800 proc and a gig of ram, with a PVR-150 and a radeon ve ddr 64 med video card.

also, still no luck with the MCE remote - do i need to input anything in the channel changer settings in the recording source? this is bumming me out!

How are you connecting your PC to your TV? Usually (with normal video cards), the TV displays a copy of what you see on your PC monitor, so if you can see you desktop on your TV then GB-PVR should also work.

No. You shouldn't have to do anything, other than setting the remote type to MCE on the misc tab.

you're right - my video card outputs my monitor screen image to my tv. GB-PVR shows up fine when i execute it. however, when i select the live tv option, i can see the television  program images on my monitor but not my TV screen (just a dark purplish/blackish screen. could it be that my video card isn't powerful enough?

If you play a video using Windows Media Player, does it do exactly the same thing?

I'm not real familar with TV out ports, but could this be a refresh type of issue? Could the signal be exceeding what the TV can see? Is GBPVR in full screen mode or windowed? Also verify NTSC/PAL settings. (I doubt it is any of these since it does work at all)

Its not really related to GB-PVR, and is something wrong with your video drivers or setup. If GB-PVR works on your PC, monitor then GB-PVR is doing everything it needs to, but your video drivers isnt doing it's part.

fixed the video output - just had to update the card drivers. the remote is still not working, however. when i initially plugged it in, windows asked me for drivers (there were none since its an MCE remote). any suggestions? [Image: biggrin.gif]
